Jury Process
Potential Members will bring samples of their work for the committee to view, they will also have an opportunity to tell the committee how their crafting process takes place, etc.Works will be screened by a jury of no less than three Guild members, with experience in different media. The work will be evaluated on the following criteria:
* Quality (Workmanship, attention to detail) Scale 1-10
* Originality (Creativity and use of medium) Scale 1-5
* Appearance (Aesthetic appeal) Scale 1-5
The scores will be combined and averaged to be given a final score. Applicants meeting the minimum score of 14 out of 20 will be accepted into the guild with all the opportunities, benefits and information of membership.
We know that not everyone is able to make it out to Jury on our schedule meeting days. The LVCG accepts applicants to Jury by sending 5-8 clear pictures of their work to lasvegascraftersguild@yahoo.com for further Jury instructions. |
